With Label Forum Japan and TOKYO PACK taking place simultaneously at Tokyo Big Sight, Asahi Kasei will address both label converters and the wider packaging industry with its AWP™ flexographic plate solutions.
Tokyo, Japan – 5 October 2026 – Asahi Kasei will showcase its AWP™ water-wash flexographic plate technologies at Label Forum Japan 2026, taking place from 14 to 16 October at Tokyo Big Sight. Visitors can meet the Asahi Kasei team at Booth B-9 / A-20 and see AWP™ and AWP™-REVO plate and print samples.
Taking place alongside TOKYO PACK 2026 at the same venue, Label Forum Japan offers an opportunity to reach visitors from across both the label and wider packaging industries. Asahi Kasei will exhibit its water-wash flexographic plate technology and demonstrate how it can support high-quality, efficient production across a range of applications.
The AWP™ portfolio offers a range of plate characteristics for different application requirements, including high- and medium-hardness plates as well as round-top and flat-top options. Designed for demanding flexographic production, AWP™ plates support fine-line and microtext reproduction, strong ink transfer, low printing pressure and high-speed printing. Asahi's CleanPrint technology is designed to reduce ink build-up on press, helping printers maintain print consistency and reduce cleaning interventions.
AWP™-REVO extends the portfolio with a solution designed for plate processing without the use of detergents.
For companies evaluating a move from letterpress or offset to flexographic printing, Asahi Kasei can also draw on its network of platemaking equipment and printing press manufacturers in Japan and internationally to support the transition and implementation process.
“With Label Forum Japan and TOKYO PACK taking place at the same venue, we have an excellent opportunity to demonstrate the potential of modern flexographic printing to a much broader packaging audience. We want to show both experienced flexo printers and companies considering a transition to flexo how our AWP™ technologies can support efficient, high-quality production.”
